Modified Tuition

Please read carefully and contact the office if you have any questions.

When reviewing the information and forms below, please keep in mind that your son will be living 24 hours a day in a responsible, professional, and safe environment, and the costs of running such a program are very high. In addition to the expenses of room and board, High level Limudei Kodesh and Limudei Chol classes, and supplies, your son will benefit from many other features of our Yeshiva. These include:

  • A dedicated staff who are specifically trained in being attentive to the needs and wellbeing of each individual Talmid as a unique person.
  • Professionally run management of the school, accountability, consistent communication and true responsiveness to parents.
  • Reliable safety protocols to ensure the physical and emotional wellbeing of every child. Every staff member is screened to ensure the safety of your child.
  • Guidance and advisory support if needed from professionals in the social and mental health fields.
  • Extra curricular activities, team building and confidence building programming, physical fitness and health education, creative expression outlets.
  • Computer lab and integration of computer skills in the curriculum and extra curricular programs.
  • Guest speakers and trips.
  • A strictly enforced environment of Kedusha and Tahara with no tolerance for internet and other unwanted materials.
  • Personal guidance and encouragement to grow in specific areas of challenge to each individual child.
  • Strong Hiskashrus to the Rebbe and a strong Lubavitch atmosphere with emphasis on Chayus for Inyonei Geulah U’Moshiach.

We undertand that there is a collective obligation for a community to ensure the Torah education of every Jewish child.  At the same time, it is important to keep in mind that in addition to the Limudei Kodesh that we provide, every Talmid also receives many other benefits such as food, dormitory accommodations, trips, secular studies and skills, and extra curricular programming.  These all go well beyond the Chiyuv of Chinuch and is not necessarily the obligation of a Yeshiva to provide for your child. As such, we will need the help of the parents to achieve funding for that to a certain extent.
We are happy to make special efforts to enable your son to be part of our Mosad and are looking forward to his success here.  In order for it to be a success, we have agreed upon a modified tuition amount, but the following will need to be covered by the parents regardless of the amount agreed:
  • Registration fee – $400 / $250 If registering before Purim
  • Mikvah – $150 paid directly to the shul – Required
  • One time Refundable Security Deposit for personal laptop – $250 (Waived for returning famlies)
  • Trips – Most likely not more than a few of hundred dollars a year, but exact amounts are not known at this point
  • Extra Curricular special lessons such as Music, Chess, and other courses for which we hire outside professionals
  • Fundraising commitment of at least the amount agree upon
  • New Campus Building Fund mandatory for all famliies not paying full tuition – $770 (can be paid at $77/mo)
  • Tuition obligation is required in full even if your son leaves in the middle of the year.  Please understand that our budget is extremely tight because we try to make it as affordable as possible for parents and we count on the yearly projections in order to run the Moisad in a sustainable way.

Tuition Contract

  1. Timely payments – You agree to make every effort to make timely tuition payments to ensure that your child’s standing in Yeshiva is not jeopardized. It is the parents’ responsibility to inform the school if any payment will be late and make every effort to obtain the funds needed to cover tuition.
  2. No refunds can be made for a Talmid’s absence or dismissal from Yeshiva. In a case where a Talmid leaves in the middle of the year for any reason, tuition will still be due in full.  Please understand that our budget is extremely tight because we try to make it as affordable as possible for parents and we count on the yearly projections in order to run the Moisad in a sustainable way.
  3. Security Deposit – Many Yeshivas require a security deposit to cover any damage that a Talmid may cause. In order to avoid overburdening parents with unnecessary expenses we will not require a deposit, and by accepting this contract you are agreeing to pay for any damages that your son may cause intentionally or inadvertently during his time in the Yeshiva.
  4. Tuition will paid according to the agreed upon modified tuition terms in the email sent to you.
  5. If paying by credit card, you card number will be stored in our PCI compliant database and charged on the due date each month. If you need to change the card on file it is your obligation to notify the Yeshiva in time before the due date.
  6. If paying by checks, head checks must be submitted with the first payment. It is the parents’ responsibility to ensure that checks will be covered. There is a $35 fee for each returned check.
  7. The Yeshiva is not responsible for lost or stolen property.
  8. A registration fee of $400 is due at signing of this contract. $250 if signed before early bird deadline – see above.
  9. Tuition does not cover the true cost of educating and providing full room and board for your son.  As such you agree to support Yeshiva’s efforts to raise funds in fundraising and other programs:
    1. All Yeshiva families are required to participate in our third party electrical service unless not available in your area or other reasonable reason.  It is no cost to you, and will actually lower your electric bill.  By signing this contract you agree to this.  There is no risk, loss, or hassle involved.  Read more here.
    2. Participation in our annual matching campaign and raffles by helping to solicit donations from your contacts is absolutely crucial for the Yeshiva to provide services to your son.
