I had the pleasure of visiting Yeshivas Kayitz Tannersville today and Farbrenging with a few incoming Shiur Aleph Talmidim. Five Bochurim who will be coming in Elul to Yeshiva are currently in YKT and together we had a lively farbrengen, talked about expectations for the upcoming year, answered questions the boys had, and had a good time. Among the discussions was the importance of working together to create a warm and supportive environment for all the Bochurim. We talked about the idea that the greatest power is the Aibershter, and since every Yid is a Cheilek Elokah, then the greatest power in this world is a Yid. And the only thing greater than one Yid, is – two Yidden. When we work together, we synergize. We create a Win-Win situation where a Chaver’s success is my success and there is no need to put down the other person to raise myself. Using some interactive activities we saw this concept in action; through this activity, all Bochurim gained while nobody lost.
